Pickleball players in Fayetteville are preparing for an exciting competition as the Fayetteville Technical Community Foundation hosts the Trojan Twist Pickleball Spring Classic. The tournament, open to the public, will take place at Fayetteville Technical Community College (FTCC) on Saturday, April 5.
This one-day event will feature a Rapid Rally Pickleball format designed to encourage players to meet and compete with new opponents. Matches will be fast-paced, with participants playing for approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.
Tournament Format and Schedule
The tournament welcomes players of all skill levels, with an entry fee of $35 per player. Matches for the 2.5 – 3.0 skill level (beginner to advanced beginner) will begin at 9 a.m. The 3.5 – 4.0 division (more advanced players) will compete at 1 p.m.
Each player will be assigned to one of five courts and will take part in 8-minute rally-scoring games before rotating to the next group. The top eight players will advance to a medal round, where gold, silver, and bronze medals will be awarded to the top finishers in each bracket.
