Tournament Details and Regulations
The entry fee is $50, with an additional $15 per event. Matches will be held on six indoor Plexicushion hard courts, using the Franklin X-40 ball. USA Pickleball has banned certain paddles, including models from JOOLA, Gearbox, and ProKennex, which will not be permitted in this tournament.
Doubles players must have individual accounts on pickleballbrackets.com before registering. If a partner fails to register within 48 hours, the team risks being moved to the waitlist. Event times will be announced four days before the tournament begins.
Competition Format
The tournament includes skill divisions of 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, and 4.5+, with age categories for players 50-59 and 60+. Match formats vary based on the number of participating teams:
- Four-team events: Round-robin format, best-of-three games to 11, win by 2.
- Five or six-team events: Single round-robin, games to 15, win by 2. Top four teams advance to medal rounds.
- Seven-team events: Single round-robin, games to 11, win by 2. Top four teams advance to medal rounds.
- Eight or more teams: Teams are divided into two pools, playing round-robin games to 15, win by 2. The top two teams from each pool move to the semifinals.
Medals will be awarded for first, second, and third place. The tournament director reserves the right to adjust player placement based on DUPR ratings and past performances at Pickleballerz.
