Albuquerque Hosts Charity Pickleball Tournament: Pickleball players of all skill levels are invited to participate in a charity tournament benefiting the Dominican Health and Education Initiative (DAHEI) on March 29 at Manzano Mesa Courts in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The event, called “Doubles for Dollars,” aims to raise funds for healthcare and education programs in Dominica and other Eastern Caribbean islands.

The tournament will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., offering men’s, women’s, and mixed doubles divisions. Participants will also have the chance to win raffle prizes, including a six-night stay in Puerto Vallarta.

Tournament Schedule and Details

The event features a ladder-style format, with different divisions based on skill level:

  • Men’s & Women’s Doubles (Beginner to 3.0): 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM
  • Men’s & Women’s Doubles (3.0+): 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM
  • Mixed Doubles (All Skill Levels): 1:15 PM – 3:15 PM

The entry fee is $25 per event, and all proceeds will go directly to DAHEI, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to improving access to healthcare and education in Dominica.

Food, Raffles, and Community Fun

Beyond the competition, players and spectators can enjoy food trucks on-site, making the event a fun-filled community gathering. Raffle prizes will be up for grabs, with the grand prize being a six-night stay in Puerto Vallarta.
