The Furry Fracas Pickleball Tournament is set to take place from March 1-2, 2025, at the newly established The Picklr facility in Noblesville, Indiana. Over 400 participants, volunteers, and fans are expected to participate in the two-day event, which will feature exciting pickleball matches while raising funds for the Humane Society for Hamilton County. The tournament aims to support the Humane Society’s mission to provide a better life for animals in need, regardless of their age, breed, or medical condition.

Tournament Registration and Schedule

The tournament will begin on March 1 at 3:00 PM and run through to March 2 at 1:00 PM. Registration for the event is open until February 19, 2025, with a participation fee of $70 per person.

A special “Friday Freeview” event will be held on the evening of February 28, 2025, at The Picklr from 6:00 PM onward. This event is an opportunity for those registered for the tournament to practice and get a feel for the venue before the tournament kicks off.

Tournament Details and Format

The tournament will be played on 19 pickleball courts using the Vulcan VPRO Flight ball. Participants will compete in various categories, including Men’s Doubles Open, Women’s Doubles Open, and Mixed Doubles Open.

Each event will feature prize money for the top teams, with $1,000 for 1st place, $500 for 2nd place, and a registration refund for 3rd place. In total, $5,000 in prize money will be awarded across all three events, with no player fees being used for the prize money pool.

DUPR Rating System and Event Qualifications

To ensure fair play, the tournament will use the DUPR rating system to help players enter events suitable for their skill level. Players with a 75% reliability score or higher will be qualified for specific events based on their DUPR rating.

Tournament organizers will review registrations and make adjustments if players are registered for events below their skill level. At the conclusion of each event, DUPR scores will be updated for all players, ensuring accurate ratings for future tournaments.
