The Fourth Annual Making Memories Classic will take place from June 13-15, 2025, at Freedom Park in Greenwood, Indiana. This three-day pickleball tournament is a major fundraiser for the Alzheimer’s Association of Greater Indiana. Over $139,600 has been raised in previous years to support research, education, and caregiver support. Registration opens on March 1 at 10:20 a.m. EST and closes on June 1 at 6:30 a.m. EST. The entry fee is $50.
Tournament Format and Schedule
The tournament will follow a round-robin format leading to a single-elimination medal round. Divisions will be separated by age, with adjustments based on the number of participants.
Games in the 14+ division will be played to 15 by 2, while 50+ and 65+ divisions will play to 11 by 2, unless fewer than six teams are in a pool, in which case they will also play to 15 by 2.
Prize Money and Special Events
The 5.0 Open Divisions will feature cash prizes for the top three teams, with $500 for gold, $250 for silver, and $100 for bronze. Payouts are based on a minimum of 10 teams per event. A Friday evening kickoff will include food, music, and open play.
Venue and Amenities
Freedom Park has 16 dedicated, lighted pickleball courts with permanent nets. A hospitality tent will provide free water, fruit, and snacks for players, while food and beer trucks will be available throughout the weekend. The venue is next to Freedom Springs Aquatic Park, where players and spectators can enjoy pools and water slides.
Community Impact and Fundraising
