Pickleball enthusiasts are invited to participate in the DAHEI Doubles for Dollars Pickleball Tournament on Saturday, March 29, at the Manzano Mesa Pickleball Courts. The event, held in partnership with the New Mexico Cancer Center Foundation and the Albuquerque Pickleball Club, aims to support health and education programs through the Dominican Health and Education Initiative (DAHEI).
Tournament Details and Schedule
The tournament will feature men’s, women’s, and mixed doubles competitions, catering to players of all skill levels. Participants will have a chance to win raffle prizes, including a six-night stay in Puerto Vallarta.
Event Schedule
- Men’s & Women’s Doubles (Beginner to 3.0): 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM
- Men’s & Women’s Doubles (Estimated 3.0+): 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM
- Mixed Doubles (All Skill Levels): 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Check-in begins at 7:00 AM, and the event will also feature food trucks and additional raffle prizes.
Supporting Health and Education
DAHEI is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing scholarships and mentorship programs for students in Dominica, as well as funding cancer care and other health services.
Founded by Dr. Annette Fontaine, a longtime Albuquerque cancer specialist originally from Dominica, the initiative works to improve medical access both locally and abroad.

The tournament serves as a key fundraising effort to further DAHEI’s mission while promoting the sport of pickleball in Albuquerque. Players of all skill levels are encouraged to join, whether for friendly competition or to support a worthy cause.
