Bloomington will soon have a new hotspot for pickleball enthusiasts with the opening of Hoosier Alley Entertainment in May 2025. Located at 2424 S. Walnut St., this multi-activity center will offer three indoor wooden pickleball courts, providing a dedicated space for casual and competitive players. The courts will also serve as a flex space, occasionally transforming into a skating rink.
A New Destination for Pickleball Players
As pickleball continues to grow in popularity, Hoosier Alley Entertainment is bringing high-quality indoor courts to the Bloomington community. The three wooden pickleball courts will provide players with a top-tier playing surface, ideal for:
- Open Play – Drop in and play with friends or meet new opponents.
- Leagues & Tournaments – Competitive events for all skill levels.
- Lessons & Clinics – Training sessions for beginners and advanced players.
With Bloomington’s unpredictable weather, these indoor courts will ensure players can enjoy the game year-round without worrying about rain or extreme temperatures.
More Than Just Pickleball
While pickleball is a highlight, Hoosier Alley Entertainment will also offer a wide range of activities for families and sports fans, including:
- 20 Bowling Lanes – With six VIP lanes for an exclusive experience.
- Axe Throwing – Six lanes for competitive fun.
- Arcade Games – Around 50 games for all ages.
- Bumper Cars & Laser Tag – A two-story laser tag arena for high-energy entertainment.
A Family Legacy in Sports Entertainment
Owners Stacy and William McCrary have decades of experience in the bowling and entertainment industry. The couple first opened Paoli Lanes in Indiana in 2003, later expanding it into Paoli Rock-N-Bowl Center in 2007.
William, who has built bowling lanes in 48 states, decided to focus on a permanent venue closer to home with Hoosier Alley. This new entertainment center will be their largest project to date, combining pickleball, bowling, and arcade entertainment under one roof.
Food, Drinks, and Social Experience
In addition to its sports offerings, Hoosier Alley Entertainment will feature a full-service restaurant and bar, with a three-way alcohol license to serve liquor, beer, and wine. The menu will include:
- Wings, Burgers, Pizza, and Salads.
- Fan-favorite 18-inch pizza from Paoli Rock-N-Bowl.
- Waiter service for a sit-down dining experience.
A Place for Everyone
With a mix of pickleball, bowling, and entertainment, Hoosier Alley aims to be a gathering place for families, friends, and sports fans.
“There’s something for everybody if you come with your kids, or you just come with a group of friends or something, for everyone to do.” – (Stacy)
