Oakdale Welcomes New Pickleball Courts: Pickleball enthusiasts in Oakdale now have a new place to play with the opening of Greger Sports Park. The park, which features multiple pickleball courts, officially marked its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Monday, March 3, at 10 a.m.
The park has been under development for the past few years and is being completed in phases. With pickleball’s growing popularity, the newly installed courts have quickly become a favorite among residents. The facility also includes a tennis court and two soccer fields, with a gymnasium planned for future construction.
Pickleball Players Welcome New Courts
The ribbon-cutting event brought together city officials, community leaders, and representatives from the park’s contractor, George Reed, Inc. Oakdale resident Kevin Keller expressed his excitement, saying,

Outgoing City Manager Bryan Whitemyer, who is set to take on a new role in Folsom, reflected on the importance of recreational spaces.

A New Hub for Pickleball in Oakdale
Pickleball players have wasted no time in taking advantage of the courts, which have been consistently full since the park’s soft opening. The addition of these courts provides a much-needed space for casual players and competitive matches.
Greger Sports Park is located at 855 Greger St., Oakdale. For more details on the park’s facilities, residents can visit the Public Services Office at 455 S. Fifth Ave., open Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
