Pickle4Paws Pickleball Tournament to Benefit Humane Society of Nacogdoches County

Pickle4Paws Pickleball Tournament: Pickleball players in Nacogdoches have a chance to support a great cause while enjoying competitive play at the Pickle4Paws Pickleball Tournament, scheduled for April 5-6 at Maroney Park. Hosted by the Humane Society of Nacogdoches County, the tournament will raise funds for animal welfare programs, including spay and neuter assistance, emergency pet aid, and feral cat support.

“Our big fundraiser is (a) pickleball tournament and banquet,” said Executive Director Jennifer Bryant.

Tournament Details and Registration

The Pickle4Paws Tournament is open to players ages 8 and up, welcoming both beginners and experienced competitors.

  • Dates: April 5-6, 2025
  • Location: Maroney Park, 1912 Maroney Drive
  • Check-in: Begins at 9 a.m. each day
  • Entry Fee: $45 per player
  • Registration Deadline: April 1

Players of all skill levels can participate, making it a fun and competitive way to support local pets in need.

Pickleball has grown rapidly across the country, attracting players of all ages with its fast-paced and social nature. Combining elements of tennis, badminton, and ping pong, it’s a perfect sport for fundraisers, bringing the community together for friendly matches and charitable giving.

Additional Fundraising Event

For those looking for more ways to contribute, the Humane Society will also host the Paws on Parade Banquet on April 8 at Banita Creek Hall. This event includes:

  • Dinner and entertainment
  • A style show
  • Silent auction and fundraising activities

Tickets for the banquet start at $75 per person, with tables available for groups.

Supporting Animal Welfare in Nacogdoches

Funds raised from both events will help the Humane Society of Nacogdoches County continue its vital pet assistance programs, ensuring more animals receive care, medical aid, and shelter support.
