Bunker Hill Park’s Pickleball Courts: On Sunday, March 9, pickleball players in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, took advantage of sunny, breezy, and mild weather to hit the courts at Bunker Hill Park and Playground at Eighth and Pierce Streets.

The park’s four dedicated pickleball courts, which opened to the public in May 2024, are part of the surging popularity of the sport in the area. The courts, built on a repurposed tennis court, meet official regulation size at 44 feet long by 20 feet wide.

The pickleball facility includes LED lighting, bench seating, and parking, making it accessible for casual and competitive players. In addition, the courts are monitored by 24-hour video surveillance to ensure safety.
