Flannel Fest Pickleball Fundraiser Set for March 20 in Dysart

Flannel Fest Pickleball Fundraiser: The Dysart Pickleball Organization (DPO) and Vision Dysart are launching the first-ever Main Street Dysart ‘Flannel Fest’ on March 20 from 5 to 8 p.m. The event aims to help DPO reach its $55,000 fundraising goal for new pickleball courts in Dysart City Park.

Participants can shop and dine along Main Street while wearing flannel. Each event ticket includes a free, colored flannel shirt decorated by Vision Dysart members and an entry into a special prize drawing. Tickets can be purchased at Brick-a-Brack or KE Black, with all proceeds benefiting DPO.

Community Activities and Vendors

Several local businesses will offer special promotions. KE Black Mercantile will feature in-store deals and jewelry by Goldie, while El Luna Co. will have discounts and Olive Tree People samples. Harper’s Public House will serve pickle-themed specials, and the Norma Anders Public Library will host kids’ activities.

Soule Shop & Spa will provide chair massages, and Brick-a-Brack will offer appetizers, cocktails, and in-store specials. A selfie booth will also be available downtown, and ‘Pickleball 101’ lessons will take place at the Main Street Pocket Park next to the library.

Fundraising Goal and Court Construction

DPO needs to reach its $55,000 goal by May 1 to retain a $20,000 grant awarded by the Max & Helen Guernsey Foundation in June. If successful, construction on the new courts will begin this spring. Plans include an asphalt base, a specialized sports surface, and fencing. The courts will be built east of the existing basketball courts and south of the tennis courts.

News in Brief: Flannel Fest Pickleball Fundraiser

Dysart’s first ‘Flannel Fest’ fundraiser will take place on March 20 to help fund new pickleball courts. Attendees can shop, dine, and enjoy activities while supporting the cause. The event’s proceeds will help DPO meet its $55,000 goal before the May 1 deadline.
