The event, hosted by the school’s Interact Club, took place at the Fort Wayne Country Club and successfully raised nearly $2,000 for blood cancer research and patient support.
A Tournament with a Purpose
The pickleball tournament was open to students, with each team paying a $50 entry fee. All proceeds were donated to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, which works to cure blood cancers and improve patients’ lives. The event ran from 12 to 3 p.m., bringing students together for a cause.
Growing Support for Blood Cancer Research
Last year, the tournament raised over $1,500. This year, organizers surpassed that amount, reaching nearly $2,000. Homestead High School’s Interact Club expressed gratitude for the community’s support.
