3rd Annual Johns Hopkins Pickleball Tournament Brings Players Together for a Vital Cause

Johns Hopkins Pickleball Tournament: The 3rd Annual Johns Hopkins Children’s Center Pickleball Tournament will take place on May 18, 2025, at Bounce Pickleball Club in Pikesville, Maryland. The event will raise funds for the hospital’s Pediatric Trauma and Burn Programs, which serve children and families across the state.

Last year, the tournament attracted over 200 participants and raised more than $25,000. Organizers expect another strong turnout for this year’s event, which will feature competitive matches, vendors, and community engagement.

Tournament Details

The tournament is open to all skill levels and includes co-ed events, meaning players of any gender can team up. Youth brackets will be available for minors under 18. The competition is a social tournament, and matches can take place at any time throughout the day.

Players must register through Pickleballbrackets.com and have a DUPR profile. Registration costs $50, with an additional $25 donation per event. A $5 management fee applies.

All events will be played indoors, ensuring the tournament continues regardless of weather. The event management team reserves the right to adjust brackets or schedules as needed.

Supporting Pediatric Care

All proceeds from the tournament will directly support Johns Hopkins Children’s Center Pediatric Trauma and Burn Programs. As Maryland’s only designated pediatric burn center and trauma center, these programs provide critical care, injury prevention resources, and training for medical staff.

Funds raised from previous tournaments have helped provide car seats, smoke detectors, bike helmets, and oven mitts for families. The event has also funded Pediatric Trauma Bootcamp, a training program for pediatric residents to prepare for emergency scenarios.

Community Involvement

Participants will receive a souvenir t-shirt and access to vendors at the venue. The event is managed by PickleMeSilly Tournaments, which aims to create a fun and engaging atmosphere for all players.

Parking at the venue is free, and spectators are welcome to attend at no cost. Event organizers encourage the community to come out, support a great cause, and enjoy a day of pickleball.

Making a Difference

The Johns Hopkins Children’s Center Pickleball Tournament is more than just a competition. It provides an opportunity to support a vital cause while bringing players and supporters together. As the event grows, it continues to make a lasting impact on children and families in need.
