The Fourth Annual iPOW Open Pickleball Tournament will take place from June 6-8 at the Amarillo National Tennis Center. As the largest pickleball event in Amarillo, the tournament will feature multiple skill divisions, cash prizes, and a social gathering for players.

Tournament Schedule and Events

This pickleball tournament kicks off on June 6 with men’s and women’s singles events, including open cash brackets. A Beach Blast Social Scramble will also take place. On June 7, men’s and women’s doubles divisions will compete, while mixed doubles matches will conclude the event on June 8.

Matches will be played on nine outdoor courts, with additional temporary courts available. Indoor courts will serve as backups in case of weather delays.

Registration and Prize Details

Players must register online by May 27, with a $45 entry fee. Open division winners will receive cash prizes, with gold medalists earning $200 per team. Silver and bronze winners will also receive payouts. Events with fewer than seven teams will have reduced prize amounts.

Social Event and Additional Information

A Surf’s Up social gathering will be held on June 6, offering surf-and-turf meals for $15. Participants must RSVP by June 4. Tournament organizers will combine brackets with low registration numbers to ensure competitive play.

Weather and Safety Considerations

Amarillo is known for strong winds and potential thunderstorms in June. Temporary indoor courts will be used if necessary. Players are advised to secure valuables in vehicles due to past break-in incidents.
