Town of Oyster Bay Pickleball Tournament Set to Debut – How to Sign Up

Oyster Bay Pickleball Tournament: The Town of Oyster Bay is set to host its first-ever pickleball tournament, bringing residents together for a fun, bracket-style competition. The event will take place on Saturday, May 17, and Sunday, May 18, at the town’s newly installed pickleball courts in Bethpage and Massapequa.

Tournament Details and Locations

Matches will be held at Ellsworth Allen Park in Bethpage and Garrick Williams Park in Massapequa. If needed, Lenox Avenue Park in Bethpage will also be used. The finals for all categories will take place at Garrick Williams Park.

The tournament will feature divisions for men and women, with categories for players over and under 40 years old, as well as over and under 60 years old. Each team will play at least three matches, and participants must bring their own paddles.

Registration and Entry Information

Registration is now open for all town residents at www.oysterbaytown.com/sports. Entry is on a first-come, first-served basis, with a limit of 16 teams per category.

Councilman Steve Labriola emphasized the town’s commitment to expanding pickleball opportunities for residents.

“Pickleball is one of the fastest-growing sports in the nation, and our Town is proud to lead the way in creating opportunities for residents to enjoy this exciting game,” Labriola said.
