A new Dripping Springs Sports Club is set to open in 2027, offering a variety of sports facilities, including six covered pickleball courts. This 200,000-square-foot complex will become a major hub for pickleball enthusiasts in the Sunset Canyon and Headwaters neighborhoods.
Pickleball at the Heart of the Facility
The Dripping Springs Sports Club will be one of the area’s premier locations for pickleball, with six indoor courts specifically designed for the sport. Pickleball, America’s fastest-growing sport, will be a major focus of the facility, providing ample opportunities for both casual play and competitive tournaments. The covered courts will ensure year-round access, no matter the weather.
In addition to the pickleball courts, the facility will also feature over 100,000 square feet of other sports courts, including high school basketball courts that can be converted into volleyball courts, offering versatility and plenty of room for various events.
Fitness and Family Entertainment Options
Alongside pickleball, the Dripping Springs Sports Club will offer other exciting features. The 60,000 square feet dedicated to fitness and wellness will include a variety of workout equipment, group fitness classes, and a high-performance training area. For families, there will be 20,000 square feet of entertainment, featuring an indoor adventure park, birthday party spaces, and childcare options.
The complex’s design will allow for easy access to food and beverage options through its cafe, especially after a session on the pickleball courts.
Community Impact and Convenience
The goal of the Dripping Springs Sports Club is to create a central location where families can engage in different activities. Rose, the project leader, emphasized that this facility would not only benefit athletes but also improve the quality of life for local families. “DSSC will serve as a community hub where parents can work out while their children practice, siblings can participate in different activities simultaneously, and families can reconnect over meals instead of spending hours in traffic,” said Rose.
Experienced Team Behind the Project
The project is being led by Rose, a youth sports coach, and his wife Ashley Rose, who founded the Dripping Springs chapter of Kardivas. The leadership team also includes Luke Axtell, a former professional basketball player who will oversee basketball programming, and Denver Lee and Chris Lupton, who bring expertise in volleyball and sports facility management.
Projected Opening and Future Impact
The Dripping Springs Sports Club is in the pre-development phase and is projected to open in mid-2027. With its focus on pickleball, it will not only provide an excellent training ground for athletes but also become a central community resource in Dripping Springs, offering recreational activities for families and sports enthusiasts alike.
