Bloomington Pickleball Ladder Event Every Tuesday at RCA Park!

Bloomington Pickleball Ladder Event: The Bloomington Pickleball Club’s Outdoor Individual Ladder event takes place every Tuesday evening at RCA Park. Open to all skill levels, the event offers structured play in a fun and competitive setting. Players must arrive by 6:15 PM for orientation, with matches running from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM.

A Community-Focused Competition

The pickleball event is led by Jade Julian and follows an individual ladder format, where players are matched based on performance. It provides a chance for participants to improve their skills, connect with fellow players, and enjoy the growing pickleball scene in Bloomington.

Important Details for Participants

All players must have a signed Bloomington Pickleball Club (BPC) waiver on file. Late arrivals after 6:15 PM may have to wait before being placed into games at the event leader’s discretion. Equipment, including nets and balls, is provided, and six temporary nets are set up before play begins.

Volunteer Opportunities and Perks

Each week, two volunteers assist with setup and takedown. Volunteers are asked to arrive by 6:00 PM and can participate in the event for free. Their support helps ensure a smooth experience for all players.

Weather and Cancellation Policy

If bad weather affects play, cancellation decisions are made by 4:00 PM. Updates are shared via CourtReserve, Slack, and on-site signage. If possible, matches may be moved to the Bloomington Pickleball Warehouse without requiring re-registration.

Special Side Events

When space and volunteers allow, additional activities like lessons, themed play, and skills clinics may be offered. These optional sessions add variety and fun to the weekly event.
