Pickleball Tournament Rescheduled: The HUB Recreation Center will host its fourth annual HUB Winter Paddle Battle on April 12-13 in Marion, Illinois. The event, originally scheduled for January 11-12, was postponed due to an ice storm but is now set to bring together pickleball enthusiasts for an exhilarating weekend of competition.
A Rescheduled Tournament with Exciting Competition
The tournament will feature men’s, women’s, and mixed doubles divisions, offering opportunities for players of all skill levels to compete. Participants can expect a fun and competitive atmosphere as they take to the courts at The HUB Recreation Center.
“We’re excited to finally host this tournament after the weather delay,” said Olivia Morgan, marketing coordinator of The HUB.

More Than Just Pickleball
In addition to the tournament action, attendees can enjoy a lively atmosphere with concessions, door prizes, and health and wellness vendors. Spectators are encouraged to come and watch the matches, which begin at 8 a.m. each day. The event is open to the public.
Registration remains open until April 7, and spots are filling quickly. Players who were previously registered for the original January dates will have their registrations honored.
Partnership with Marion Park District
The HUB is partnering with the Marion Park District for the upcoming BDC Spring Slam Tournament, scheduled for May 3-4. As an added incentive, participants in the Paddle Battle will receive $10 off their registration for the Spring Slam.
