Ludington Pickleball Classic Brings High-Stakes Pickleball Action Back to Oriole Park

The Ludington Pickleball Classic is set to return from September 5-7, 2025, at Oriole Park in Ludington, Michigan. The annual tournament will feature men’s, women’s, and mixed doubles competitions, following USAPA rules. Registration is open from April 1 to August 22, with a fee of $85 per participant.

Tournament Details and Schedule

Each morning, player check-in begins at 7:30 AM, with warm-ups at 8:00 AM and play starting at 9:00 AM. Men’s doubles take place on Friday, September 5, mixed doubles on Saturday, September 6, and women’s doubles on Sunday, September 7.

The event follows a round-robin format, guaranteeing at least four matches per team. Matches will be played with the Franklin X-40 Pickleball, an official USAPA-approved ball.

Rules and Player Information

Players will compete in skill and age-based brackets. If partners have different skill levels, they will compete at the higher partner’s level. The age category is determined by the younger partner’s age as of December 31, 2025. Players must check in 30-45 minutes before their scheduled matches, as start times may shift depending on game duration.

Amenities and Sponsorships

Players will receive a free moisture-wicking T-shirt with registration. Food will be available from 10 Spot Food Trucks, and the Ludington Pickleball Club will provide coffee for attendees.

Bottled water, food bars, and fruit gummies will be provided for registered players. Sponsors’ logos are available for participants to explore additional services while in Ludington.

Venue and Parking Information

This pickleball event will take place at Ludington Area Pickleball Courts within Oriole Field Complex, located at W. Tinkham Ave and Gaylord Ave. Parking is permitted inside the complex and on surrounding streets, but attendees must avoid blocking driveways or parking on lawns.

Policies and Refund Information

Per Ludington Area School policy, only service dogs with documentation are allowed. Weather-related cancellations will not be refunded. Withdrawals before August 1 will incur a $10 fee, while those after August 1 but before August 28 will have a $25 fee deducted. No refunds will be issued after August 28 for any reason.
