Folsom’s New 42K-Square-Foot Pickleball Paradise: A large vacant space in Folsom will soon be transformed into an indoor pickleball facility. Ace Pickleball Club (APC) announced plans to open a 42,000-square-foot venue at 9522 Greenback Lane this fall. The new club will feature 15 indoor courts, create 30 jobs, and offer unlimited play for a flat monthly fee.
Bringing Pickleball to Folsom
APC, a fast-growing national franchise, aims to make pickleball more accessible to the community. The facility will allow members to play without the hassle of reserving courts or waiting in long lines.
“No more competing to reserve a spot or waiting in long lines for a chance to play – APC’s offering of open play all day, every day lets Members get their games in without the hassle of coordinating with others or any additional fees,” the company stated in a press release.
To celebrate its arrival in Folsom, the club is offering a free first month of membership before its official opening. Residents can sign up for email updates to claim the offer when it becomes available.
A Passion for the Sport
The new location will be owned and operated by Mukti Patel and his wife, Jyoti. Patel, originally from Zambia, moved to the U.S. at age 14 and worked as a certified public accountant before retiring in 2022. Now, he is dedicated to growing pickleball in his community.
“It didn’t take long for me to fall in love with pickleball,” Patel said. “What I love about the game is how incredibly social and enjoyable it is. Anyone can pick it up and enjoy it. Given that weather elements such as intense heat, cold, rain, and wind can negatively impact the overall experience of playing pickleball outdoors, I realized that to grow the sport, people needed a place where they could play year-round in a climate-controlled facility, anytime they wanted. I’m beyond excited to open this new club and offer that opportunity to the Folsom and surrounding communities.”
Patel first started playing pickleball casually with friends and quickly became passionate about the game. He has since competed in amateur tournaments in Las Vegas and Sacramento, winning medals along the way.
A Place for Everyone
APC’s new facility will feature professional-grade, cushioned courts and a membership model similar to a gym. Players will have access to open play, clinics, club-organized tournaments, social events, and ball machine rentals. The club will also offer free beginner clinics to introduce new players to the sport.
Whether players are looking for an intense match or a social game with friends, APC aims to be a hub for all skill levels and ages.
