A special pickleball tournament will take place in Dallas on April 6, 2025, to raise funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). The event, called the Big Climb Pickleball Tournament, will run from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at The Courts in McKinney, Texas.
Round Robin Competition for a Cause
The tournament will feature round-robin play, with options for set partner doubles and rotating partner doubles. Games will be played to 11 points, and winners will receive medals. Participants can register through the Swish App, which will be used for tournament setup and scoring.
Two skill divisions will be available: Social, for beginners and casual players, and Intermediate, for those at a 3.0 skill level or higher. Players without partners can request assistance in being paired with another participant.
Supporting LLS Through Sport
All proceeds from the event will go directly to LLS to support cancer research, patient assistance, and advocacy programs. The organization has invested over $1.8 billion in cancer research and provided more than $1.7 billion in financial aid to patients since its founding in 1949.
Registration costs $60 per player, with 100% of the fee benefiting LLS’s mission. Interested participants can sign up online or scan a QR code on promotional materials.
Building Awareness and Community
The Big Climb Pickleball Tournament is part of a larger initiative in Dallas, where LLS hosts its signature Big Climb fitness event. The pickleball tournament aims to engage more people in the fight against blood cancer through an active and social sporting event.
