Kelowna’s Golf Course Reinvents: Discover the New Business Hub and Pickleball Paradise!

Kelowna’s Golf Course Reinvents: A new business park featuring industrial space and a pickleball centre is planned for the Kelowna Springs golf course area. Developer Denciti Development Corp. will present its proposal to Kelowna City Council soon. A public information session is scheduled for next Wednesday at Springvalley Middle School.

Major Business Park and Pickleball Facility Planned

Denciti Development Corp. is proposing a 35-acre business park on Penno Road in the Reid’s Crossing area. The project aims to create up to 700 jobs and address Kelowna’s shortage of industrial land. It will include spaces for light manufacturing, warehousing, and commercial businesses.

The development also features a 12-court indoor pickleball centre, providing a year-round playing space. Additionally, 10 acres of open space will be available for walking and biking.

Kelowna Springs Golf Course to Remain

The Kelowna Springs golf course has been reduced to nine holes to make way for the development but will continue to operate.

In a media release, Denciti CEO Garry Fawley stated, “We’ve worked hard to create a win-win solution where recreation thrives while also generating high-paying jobs for residents. By optimizing land use for both recreation and employment, the proposed plan strikes a balance that strengthens Kelowna’s economic resilience and creates a place where residents can work, play, and grow.”

Public Meeting to Share Vision

Denciti Development Corp. has launched a website, 480Penno.ca, to showcase its vision for the project. A public information session will be held next Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Springvalley Middle School, where residents can learn more and provide feedback.
