Seattle Metro Classic 2025 Heats Up—Who Will Rise in the Ultimate Pickleball Battle?

The Seattle Metro Classic 2025, presented by UW Medicine, is set for July 15-20 at Shoreview Park in Shoreline, Washington. This pickleball tournament features skill and open divisions, attracting players from across the country. Registration opens on April 2 at noon (PDT) and closes on June 30 at 11:45 p.m.

Tournament Format and Entry Details

Players can enter up to two events, one for mixed doubles and one for gender doubles. A DUPR account connection is required for registration, and payment must be completed at sign-up. The event follows a double-elimination format and uses Franklin X40 balls. Skill divisions range from 3.0 to 4.5, while open divisions require a minimum rating for entry.

A special Men’s Doubles Open Play-In Qualifier will take place on July 18. This event allows 4.5+ rated players to compete for a spot in the main open event on July 20. Only the top four teams from the qualifier will advance.

Prize Distribution and Refund Policy

Prize money is awarded to the top four finishers in open divisions with at least eight teams. If a division has fewer teams, payouts are prorated, and divisions may be merged. Players may withdraw before July 1 for a refund, minus a $20 administration fee. Weather-related cancellations may result in up to a 50% refund.

Logistics and Parking Information

Shoreview Park has limited parking, with overflow space available at Shoreline Community College. Participants are encouraged to carpool and arrive early to secure a spot.

This year’s tournament is expected to draw strong competition, continuing the event’s tradition of showcasing top pickleball talent in the region.
