Game-Changer Alert: The Picklr Brings Championship Pickleball to Bozeman This Summer

The Picklr Brings Championship Pickleball: A new pickleball facility, The Picklr, is set to open in Bozeman this summer. The large facility will feature 13 courts, including four championship-size courts, a 700-square-foot gym, and more. It is located in a massive warehouse near Four Corners off Laura Louise Lane, with a soft launch planned for the end of June 2025.

“We’re going to have 13 courts. Four championship-size courts, 700-square-foot gym, and locker-room showers. And we’re going to really make this someplace special and a place for the community to hang out.” – (Andrew)

From Tennis to Pickleball: The Briefs’ Journey

Andrew and Kelly Brief, originally from upstate New York, discovered pickleball after moving west in 2019. Both competitive tennis players were introduced to the sport by a cousin who was already playing.

Andrew recalls feeling challenged by his cousin’s skills in a racket sport, which pushed him to try pickleball. “Anybody can play, anybody can have fun, anybody can compete,” he says. Their love for the sport grew, leading them to open their facility.

A Facility Built for the Community

The Picklr will be the first of five planned locations across Montana. Andrew and Kelly partnered with The Pickler franchise, which has 450 locations nationwide, to bring their dream to life.

“We signed the franchise agreement for all of Montana. Five locations in Montana. So, this is the first location.” – (Andrew)

The new facility will include four championship-size courts, a gym, locker rooms, community rooms, and AI technology for training. Memberships start at $119 per month, but players can also reserve courts on an hourly basis.

Andrew noted that the Bozeman area lacks dedicated pickleball facilities, which often leads to overcrowded parks.

“There’s plenty of demand, but that supply is lacking. And it creates this chaotic scene in the parks, and makes it intimidating for new players to want to get out there and play.” – (Andrew)

The Picklr aims to provide a space for year-round access to players of all skill levels while fostering a strong sense of community. The facility is set to open in late June, offering a much-needed resource for pickleball players in Bozeman.

“I think people are more active here than the general population. They like to get out and do things. But they also like to be together and have community, and that’s what Pickleball does.” – (Andrew)

News in Brief: The Picklr Brings Championship Pickleball

The Picklr pickleball facility will open in Bozeman in June 2025, featuring 13 courts, a gym, and additional amenities. Memberships begin at $119 per month, with hourly court rentals available. This facility aims to provide year-round access and support a growing pickleball community.
