Tri-Town Pickleball Finals: The Grand Finals of the Tri-Town Paddle Down Pickleball Tournament kick off today, Saturday, April 5, at the West Milford Recreation Center, with teams from Ringwood, Wanaque, and West Milford competing for the championship title.
Local Champions Battle for Tri-Town Title
Pickleball fans from northern New Jersey are in for an exciting day as finalists from Ringwood, Wanaque, and West Milford face off in the Grand Finals of the Tri-Town Paddle Down Pickleball Tournament. The event is being held at the West Milford Recreation Center, located at 66 Cahill Cross Road.
Check-in for the teams begins at 8 a.m., with games scheduled to follow shortly afterward. The tournament brings together the winning teams from local qualifying events that were held on March 22 in each participating town.
Organized by Three Recreation Departments
The Tri-Town Paddle Down Tournament is a joint effort between the recreation departments of West Milford, Ringwood, and Wanaque. The idea behind the event is to build community through friendly competition among neighboring towns.
Each town hosted its own qualifying matches last month to determine which local players would represent them in today’s final. In West Milford, the qualifying tournament also took place at the Recreation Center and had an entry fee of $30 per person.
All Eyes on the Grand Finals
The final matches will feature each town’s top teams competing in a round-robin or elimination format (as designed by the organizers) to determine who will take home the title of Tri-Town Champion.
Spectators are welcome to attend and cheer for their local teams in what promises to be a day of fast-paced play, spirited sportsmanship, and strong community pride.
With pickleball’s popularity continuing to grow, especially in suburban and small-town areas, the Tri-Town Tournament is another sign of how local events are helping the sport thrive.
