Discover the Ultimate Pickleball Experience: Spring Hill Round Robin Pickleball Program in April!

Spring Hill Round Robin Pickleball Program: A new pickleball round robin for beginner and advanced beginner players is set for every Monday evening in April 2025 at the Longview Recreation Center’s outdoor courts in Spring Hill. The pickleball event starts April 7 and runs through April 28 from 5:00 to 6:45 p.m., with a $40 fee per player.

Hosted by instructor Doug Keener, this pickleball program is designed for adult players ages 18 and up with a skill level of 2.5 to 3.0. It provides a chance to get more match-play experience before jumping into open-play sessions. Participants must have already completed a beginner clinic. The round-robin is not an instructional class but focuses on game-time experience.

A Weekly Event to Boost Confidence

Players will rotate in and out of games on outdoor pickleball courts 5, 6, 7, and 8 at Longview Rec Center. While no new skills are taught, instructor Doug Keener will be on-site to offer guidance on keeping score and understanding basic rules. The structure allows for organized play among similar skill levels. The program is capped at 16 players to maintain quality play time for all.

Set Schedule and Requirements

The round robin takes place on April 7, 14, 21, and 28, with a make-up date scheduled for April 30 if needed. A one-time $40 fee covers all four sessions, and no refunds are offered. The event is for adults only and is not open to younger players.

The location for all sessions is Longview Outdoor Pickleball Courts at 2909 Commonwealth Dr, Spring Hill, TN 37174. Each Monday’s session lasts 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Helping Players Grow Before Open Play

By limiting the group to 16 and keeping the play organized, the round robin provides a supportive environment for newer players. The goal is to make participants feel more prepared for unstructured open play games.

“The goal is to improve your skills for open play,” the event description says, emphasizing readiness over competition. It serves as a stepping stone for those looking to move into more flexible and advanced playing situations.
