Pickleball With A Purpose Fundraiser: A full-day pickleball event will take place April 19 at BridgeMill Athletic Club in Canton, Georgia. Called Pickleball With A Purpose, the fundraiser will support three Cherokee County non-profits: Building Fires, Isaiah 61:1 Project, and 2Polarities. Activities begin at 8:30 a.m. at 1190 Bridge Mill Ave.
Event Schedule and Registration Details
The event includes competitive and casual play. The day begins with a 3.5+ advanced round robin from 8:30 to 11 a.m. for $45 per player, which includes a T-shirt.
From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., players can take part in the Beat the Pro challenge at $20 per challenge. A 3.5 and lower round robin will follow from 1 to 3 p.m., also costing $45 per player.
In the afternoon, participants can sign up for a skills session with professional players for $20. Todd Baker, founder and program director of Building Fires, said the event is designed to serve all levels of play.
Fun Extras and Registration Info
Music and raffles will also be part of the day’s events. Organizers suggest early registration, as space is limited. The deadline to register and receive a T-shirt is April 12. After that, players can still register through April 18, but the T-shirt will not be guaranteed.
