The Monticello’s Watermelon Festival Pickleball Showdown will take place on May 17 and 18, 2025, at the Jefferson Recreation Department in Monticello, Florida. The event runs from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and features mixed, men’s, and women’s doubles for players of all ages and skill levels.
Tournament Schedule and Divisions
Saturday will feature mixed doubles matches, including a 4.5+ Money Ball division offering cash prizes for gold, silver, and bronze finishers. Sunday will focus on men’s and women’s doubles.
Divisions include 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, and 4.5+, split further into age brackets, including 55+. The round-robin format ensures that each team will play multiple games, promoting fair competition and fun.
Entry Fees and Player Perks
Participants can register individually for one division at $40 or play both divisions for $50. The 4.5+ Money Ball event has a separate $50 entry fee. All registered players receive food and a swag bag.
Tournament balls will be Franklin X-40, a common choice in competitive play. Awards will be given to the top three teams in each division.
