Cincinnati’s Corporate Pickleball Showdown: Local Businesses Battle for Charity and Bragging Rights

Cincinnati’s Corporate Pickleball Showdown: Fischer Homes and other local companies will compete in the first-ever Cincinnati Corporate Clash on May 2 at the Pickle Lodge in West Chester Township. The event brings together teams from up to 56 businesses to raise money for charity and compete for corporate bragging rights.

Companies Compete for Charity and Bragging Rights

The tournament will feature two men and two women from each team, including Fischer Homes, GE Aviation, and TEKsystems. All teams are guaranteed at least three matches between 1 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. at the Pickle Lodge, located at 7373 Kingsgate Way.

“It will be interesting to see companies competing against one another. I expect it to be pretty competitive,’’ said Mitch Dunn, co-founder of the lodge. “We’ll see intercompany rivalries too.”

Each team will play men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles matches. The winning team will earn a $500 donation to their chosen charity, custom medals, and pickleball gear.

Fischer Homes is playing for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Friendly Rivalries and Competitive Fun

Fischer Homes, based in Erlanger, is excited to join the event.

“The event sounds like a great way to support the community, have fun with colleagues, and connect with local companies while enjoying a sport we love,’’ said Michiyo Kawasaki, with Fischer Homes’ corporate finance. “Plus, we are all very competitive, so it’s a good way to channel that energy.”

Registration is open until April 28, with a $500 entry fee per team. The fee covers equipment and supplies.

“This tournament is more than just a day of great pickleball – it’s an opportunity for Cincinnati companies to come together, strengthen team bonds, and give back in a meaningful way,” Dunn said. “Whether you’re a seasoned player or picking up a paddle for the first time, the Corporate Clash is the perfect way to connect, compete, and contribute to a good cause.”

What This Event Means for the Community

The Corporate Clash is not just about sports. It’s a new way for local businesses to engage with each other, have fun, and support meaningful causes. With a growing interest in pickleball and community partnerships, events like this may become an annual tradition.
