Discover Pickleball Fun: Slatington Farmers Market’s New Community Hotspot

Pickleball Fun: Slatington Farmers Market and Expo Center is adding energy to its community offerings with the launch of open-play pickleball. Held in the market’s 12,000-square-foot expo center, the sessions take place every Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. and are open to players of all skill levels.

Participants must bring their own paddles. Updates and additional play times will be announced on social media and on the TeamReach app under the group name “Expo2025.”

“We are thrilled to bring pickleball to our community,” said market manager Amanda Ahlers. “Our goal is to provide a welcoming and inclusive environment where people can enjoy the game, stay active, and connect with others. After players finish their match, they can grab dinner and shop from our many market vendors.”

A New Way to Connect, Compete, and Stay Active

The new pickleball sessions are designed to give residents and visitors a chance to engage in one of the fastest-growing sports in the country. The space allows for a dynamic, social experience alongside the already popular food and shopping options at the market.

The addition of pickleball is part of the market’s broader goal to bring new life to the community space at 8281 Route 873 in Washington Township.
