Rocky Mountain Pickleball Showdown: Registration is now open for the Rocky Mountain Pickleball Championship Series, which will take place across Colorado from June to September. Hosted by The Picklr and Kyle Yates, a former world No. 1 and 2024 Pickleball Hall of Fame inductee, the series gives players a chance to compete for the 2025 championship title.
Tournaments to Take Place Across the State
The series begins in Littleton at the Clement Park Pickleball Complex from June 18-22. Next is the Mountain Town Classic in Steamboat Springs from July 25-27. The Grand Mesa Open in Grand Junction will close the series from September 12-14.
Players who take part in these events will earn points at each stop. At the end of the series, the top point-scorers in each skill level will be named Rocky Mountain Pickleball champions. Registration for the first event in Littleton closes on June 8.
New Experience for Players and Fans
The tournament promises a fresh experience for players with several updates. Organizers said that each player will have a five-game minimum. A new bracket system will help reduce wait times between matches. Warm-up time will be given before every game, and there will be better amenities for players and spectators.
All players will earn points and receive prizes, no matter their final standing. A special Championship Sunday will feature all Pro-level finals on one day for fans to enjoy.
Pickleball’s Growth in Colorado on Full Display
“The RMC isn’t just a tournament; it’s a showcase for how much pickleball has grown in Colorado,” said Yates in a press release. “Whether you’re a player, a fan or just curious to see what pickleball is about – you won’t want to miss out.”
What This Means for Pickleball in Colorado
The Rocky Mountain Pickleball Championship Series shows how fast the sport is growing in the region. With events in three popular Colorado locations, the tournament gives local players more chances to compete. It also gives fans a front-row seat to high-level matches and the growing energy around the sport.
The new features and point system could attract more players and help raise the level of play. With a respected name like Kyle Yates leading the effort, the series could become a key event on the Colorado pickleball calendar.
