Tipp City Scores a Win with New Pickleball Courts: Tipp City has chosen Outdoor Enterprise, a Troy-based company, to build eight new pickleball courts at Kyle Park. The project, estimated at $252,900, is nearly $100,000 under the city’s budget and is set to begin this summer.
Project Details and Selection
The new courts will replace existing asphalt areas near the baseball fields on Kyle Park Drive. The plan includes removing old asphalt, laying new surfaces, constructing courts to USA Pickleball Association standards, painting, installing fences, and landscaping. Tipp City received six bids for the project. Outdoor Enterprise’s bid was $50,000 lower than the next lowest offer.
Timeline and Previous Work
Construction is expected to start this summer, to complete the courts by the end of August 2025. Outdoor Enterprise has previously worked on municipal projects, including an amphitheater stage in Vandalia and phase one of a park in Old North Dayton.
Impact on the Community
The addition of pickleball courts is a key component in the ongoing development of Kyle Park, transforming it into a more comprehensive community park and sports complex for Tipp City residents.
