The first Excellence Only Pro Pickleball Tournament of 2024 kicks off April 20 in Casselberry, Florida, promising $3,000 in prize money. Held at The Geneva School, this pickleball event includes singles and doubles for beginner, intermediate, and pro divisions. Registration ends April 16 at 11:30 p.m. EDT.
Players can enter divisions for $30 to $90, depending on category. Pro doubles winners could take home $1,000 if 32 or more teams register. Pro singles winners may win $750 with 24 or more entries. All events follow a double elimination format, allowing a comeback after an early loss.
Part of a $15,000 Tournament Series
The April 20 event is the third of four in the Excellence Only series. Players who compete in all four events—February 23, March 16, April 20, and May 4—may receive a $500 bonus if they win the finale. Top performers will also be entered in giveaways.
The finale will offer over $5,000 in prize money. Players are seeded based on total match wins across the series. “$500 Bonus if the Finale Winner plays all 4 tournaments in the series!” the event details confirmed. “Giveaways to top 3 players with the most match wins of the series.”
Competition Format and Entry
Games are played best two out of three sets to 11 using normal scoring. Matches will be held on converted tennis courts using taped lines, and Diadem will supply the official pickleballs. Entry is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Refunds are available only before the registration deadline. “Full Refunds given! But ONLY before the registration deadline closes. Email Tournament Director before deadline to withdraw,” the organizers stated. No refunds will be processed once registration has closed.
Prize Money Details
Prize money varies based on the number of entries. In pro doubles, winners can earn $1,000, second place $450, and third $250 if 32+ teams sign up. Smaller brackets offer lower rewards. In pro singles, a 24+ player turnout means $750 for first, $350 for second, and a free entry for third.
Beginner and intermediate winners in singles and doubles can win up to $100. “Each division will have prize money!” the organizers emphasized.
Series Creates Opportunity and Encourages Growth
This pickleball series aims to promote competitive play and offer real rewards. It also helps players build momentum through multiple events. By tracking match wins and rewarding consistent play, the series fosters both skill development and community growth.
The May 4 finale could shift standings and bring new surprises. For players looking to rise through the ranks or win a share of $15,000, the April 20 pickleball event is a key step.
