Kingsport’s Pickleball Craze: New Beginner Classes Launch Amid High Demand

The Kingsport Parks and Recreation Department will offer a second round of Beginner Pickleball classes this spring due to popular demand. The classes will be held on Thursdays from 6-7 p.m. starting April 17 through May 15 at the Riverview Pickleball Courts at the V.O. Dobbins, Sr. Complex.

Course Details

The beginner course is open to participants ages 14 and up. The cost of the course is $40 for city residents and $45 for non-residents. Students will receive an instructor-led experience covering all the basic aspects of pickleball, including the rules, serving, return serve, and dinking. All necessary equipment will be provided during the classes.
