Rising Pickleball Star Brooke Revuelta Boosts Troop Spirits on Global Pickleball Military Tour

Rising Pickleball Star Brooke Revuelta: In March 2025, 19-year-old professional pickleball player Brooke Revuelta from Miami joined three fellow U.S. athletes on a special Armed Forces Entertainment Goodwill Pro Pickleball Military Tour. The team visited 12 U.S. military bases across six countries, sharing the sport and lifting the morale of American service members and their families.

A Rising Star with a Mission

Revuelta, a former tennis standout at Miami Palmetto Senior High, turned down Division 1 tennis offers to pursue pickleball. After graduating in 2024, she quickly made a name for herself in the sport. Her selection to this military tour made her the youngest pro athlete ever chosen for the program.

During the three-week tour, Revuelta and the team traveled to bases in Turkey, Kosovo, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, and Spain. At each stop, they led clinics, gave lessons, and played exhibition matches for troops and families. The events included play-with-the-pros sessions, tournaments, and special games with prizes.

Family Ties and Respect for Service

Revuelta comes from a military family. Her great-grandfather, Major Robert Vories Abram, flew B-24s in World War II. Her grandfather, James Newton Abram, served in Vietnam. Her stepfather, Jose Gonzalez, was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army’s 3rd Infantry Division.

“Being selected for this tour is an absolute honor — not just as a pro pickleball player, but as someone who comes from a military family. My family has always instilled in me a deep respect for those who serve, and now I am showing my appreciation firsthand. This tour is about more than playing a sport — it’s about lifting spirits, saying thank you, and creating unforgettable moments for our troops and their families.” – (Brooke Revuelta)

“Pickleball is all about connection, competition, and fun — just like the camaraderie within the military. I’m stepping onto the courts, learning from our soldiers, and sharing what I love about this sport with them.” – (Brooke Revuelta)

A Journey of Sports and Service

The tour wasn’t only about playing. Revuelta and the others learned about military life during unit visits and media interviews with Armed Forces Network (AFN). They exchanged stories and gained a deeper understanding of the troops’ dedication and hard work.

David Chavez, president and CEO of Pro Sports MVP Entertainment & Promotions, said,

“The athletes and celebrities are the ones who get more out of the goodwill military tour by giving back to those men and women who preserve our freedom.” – (David Chavez)

Growing the Sport and Supporting Troops

Brooke Revuelta, now one of the top junior pickleball players worldwide, has already competed in major events in England and India. She ranks No. 2 in the APP Next Gen women’s division and is part of the national team. Her role in this tour helped introduce the sport to new audiences across the globe.

The goodwill tour helped service members find a healthy outlet and gave them and their families a chance to try something new. Revuelta’s efforts made a lasting difference at every base she visited, proving how sports can bring people together and show appreciation.
