Lamar County’s Pickleball Tournament: The 100 Club of Lamar County will host a First Responders Pickleball Tournament on Saturday, June 14, 2025, in Paris, Texas. The event begins at 8:00 a.m. and supports families of first responders injured or killed in the line of duty. The tournament features men’s, mixed, and over-60 doubles.
Supporting Local Heroes Through Sport
The 100 Club of Lamar County is a volunteer group that helps families of law enforcement, fire, EMS, corrections, and other first responders. When a public servant is seriously hurt or dies on duty, the group steps in to offer aid to their families.
The upcoming pickleball tournament is one of the ways the club raises funds to continue its support. All proceeds from the event will go toward helping these families during times of crisis.
Event Details and Entry Information
The tournament will include three categories: men’s doubles, mixed doubles, and over-60 doubles for men and women. Players must check in by 7:45 a.m. on the day of the event. Games start at 8:00 a.m.
The cost is $40 per person for the first event and $10 for each extra event. Entries must be submitted before Monday, June 9, 2025. The format will be round robin pool play, with top teams advancing. USAPA rules will be followed.
Players can register online or by mailing an entry form to 2845 Cypress St., Paris, Texas 75460. Payments can be made through PayPal or by mailing a check made out to the 100 Club of Lamar County. Entry fees are non-refundable.
Skill Levels and Prizes
There are different divisions for skill levels:
Recreational: NR-3.0
Intermediate: 3.0–3.5
Advanced: 3.5 and up
Trophies will be awarded to the winners in each division.
