Discover Auburn’s New Pickleball Haven: 12 Courts Open for Play!

Twelve new pickleball courts at Auburn’s Lake Wilmore Park Recreation Center will open to the public on Wednesday. Located on Grove Hill Road near Ogletree Elementary, the courts are covered, lit, and free to use on a first-come, first-served basis unless reserved.

Public Access and Hours

The courts will be open daily from sunrise until 7 p.m. Restrooms will be available inside the recreation center during regular hours:

  • Monday–Thursday: 6 a.m.–9 p.m.

  • Friday: 6 a.m.–6 p.m.

  • Saturday: 8 a.m.–noon

  • Sunday: 1–6 p.m.

The city encourages the public to enjoy the new facility, which is designed to support the rising popularity of pickleball in the community.

Future Plans and Closures

City officials announced that six more courts are expected to open later this year. During construction, the completed courts may be closed temporarily. The community will be informed of any changes as work progresses.

These new additions aim to provide more recreational options in Auburn and make pickleball accessible to all age groups.
