The Go BLUE for CASA Pickleball Tournament will take place on May 3 at Fresh Air & Food Park in Cottonwood Shores. The event will raise money for CASA for the Highland Lakes Area, which supports children navigating the court system due to abuse or neglect.
This friendly, six-round, league-style tournament is open to all skill levels and features three social divisions: men’s, women’s, and mixed. Each division is limited to 16 players. Participants must register online, with the deadline for guaranteed T-shirt size being April 16.
Tournament Format
Players will compete individually and be grouped with different partners each round. After every round, matchups will be adjusted to ensure balanced play based on performance. At the end of the tournament, champions in each division will be crowned. The event encourages fun and friendly competition while benefiting a good cause.
Supporting CASA’s Mission
Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) assist children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect. They give children a voice in legal proceedings, ensuring their needs are met throughout the court process. CASA for the Highland Lakes Area serves five counties: Burnet, Blanco, Llano, Lampasas, and San Saba.
Significance of the Event
This tournament offers participants the chance to enjoy pickleball while supporting a vital cause. By providing a platform to raise funds, it helps CASA continue their work for children in need. The event is expected to foster a sense of community and contribute to a more significant impact on the local region.
