The Rome Floyd Chamber and Southern Pickleball Association will host the first Dink Master Pickleball Tournament on Tuesday, May 13. The event, presented by AdventHealth Redmond, will be held at the Rome Downtown Racquets Center and is open to the public.
This new tournament invites people of all skill levels to join. It promises fun, friendly games and a chance to meet others in the community.
A Community Pickleball Event
The tournament will feature men’s doubles, women’s doubles, mixed doubles, and a relaxed round-robin group. Players can enjoy the sport while making new friends.
The entry fee is $50 per player. It includes tournament play and light refreshments during the event.
Networking and Fun at Business After Hours
Along with the tournament, the Chamber invites members to a Business After Hours gathering. This will be held at the Downtown Courts on May 13, from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m.
Guests will enjoy snacks, drinks, and good company. They’ll also get to watch the tournament’s final matches while networking with others.

Pam Powers Smith, President of the Rome Floyd Chamber, shared her excitement about the event. “Pickleball is the fastest-growing sport in the country, and we know how much the Rome and Floyd County community loves it,” she said. “We thought this would be a great way for our Chamber members, and the entire community, to get out, have some fun, and connect with others.”
