Burnham-On-Sea’s Pickleball Taster Session: Burnham-On-Sea Tennis Club will hold a free pickleball taster session on Saturday, May 3rd, from 3-5 pm. The event is open to both club members and the public, providing a chance to try out the fast-growing sport.
Learn Pickleball with Expert Guidance
Tim Seymour, Head Coach at the club, will introduce participants to pickleball, a game that blends tennis, badminton, and ping-pong. Played on a badminton-sized court with paddles and a plastic ball, pickleball is simple to learn and offers both singles and doubles play.
Seymour explained, “Pickleball is easy to pick up and very social,” emphasizing the sport’s appeal to people of all ages and skill levels.
Future Plans for Pickleball at the Club
The event is just the beginning, with the club planning to hold regular pickleball sessions in the future. More details about these sessions will be posted on the club’s website soon.
All equipment will be provided for the taster session, but spaces are limited. Those interested are encouraged to sign up in advance.
