GaGa Pit and Future Park Enhancements
The new GaGa Pit was introduced to students at Lincoln Elementary School in a surprise ceremony on Monday. The game, played in an octagonal pit, will be a fun new feature for children in the community.
The city recently approved a $111,300 contract for upgrades at Gil Lynn Park and Sargeant Park. The planned improvements at Gil Lynn Park include the addition of four pickleball courts, new playground equipment, and resurfaced basketball courts. Mayor Ben Baker highlighted the importance of these enhancements.
“We are very fortunate to have seven great public parks in our City. Gil Lynn is one of our largest parks and our most active park, but it is starting to show its age, and these improvements will make it a more inviting public space for our children, our residents, and our visitors.” – (Ben Baker)
