Community Rallies for “Miles for Kyle” Pickleball Event: A Legacy of Love and Support

Miles for Kyle Pickleball Fundraiser: The “Miles for Kyle: Pickleball Edition” fundraiser will take place on Saturday, April 26, starting at 8:00 AM at Papa Joe’s Bayside in Panama City, Florida. This pickleball event will raise money for the Kyle DeMaio Scholarship Fund at Rutherford High School, honoring Kyle’s life and legacy.

Event Brings Together Community for a Cause

Hosted by Papa Joe’s Bayside, the event is open to everyone—whether or not they’re playing pickleball. Friends and families are invited to enjoy the scenic waterfront, food, raffles, and time together. Admission is free for non-players, making it a welcoming event for all.

This pickleball tournament is more than just a game—it’s a tribute. Kyle DeMaio, born in 1999 and passed in 2018, was known for his kind heart, bright smile, and love for laughter. At age 18, Kyle registered as an organ donor. After his passing, his donation helped 60 people in need.

Honoring Kyle’s Memory Through Scholarships

Kyle’s family and friends created the scholarship to keep his memory alive and help students pursue their dreams. The fund supports those who demonstrate the kindness and compassion Kyle showed throughout his life.

What Comes Next

By joining the event or making a donation, attendees support local students and keep Kyle’s legacy going. Events like this bring people together while making a meaningful difference in the community. The hope is to grow the scholarship and continue honoring Kyle’s generous spirit in the years to come.
