Cody Park’s Pickleball Courts Close for Major Upgrades

Cody Park’s Pickleball Court Upgrades: The Cody Park tennis and pickleball courts will close from April 28 through May 17 for surface painting, according to city officials. The gates will be locked during this time to prevent accidental use of the courts while work is underway.

Crews will also pour cement for new sidewalks and the parking lot during the closure. Drivers are asked to be cautious while passing through Cody Park over the next few weeks.

Project Work and Safety Measures

The closure is part of a larger improvement project aimed at upgrading the court surfaces and nearby facilities. Locking the gates ensures safety for visitors and workers. The additional construction work will make the area safer and more accessible for players and spectators.

City Thanks Community for Patience

In a statement, the City said, “The City would like to thank everyone for their patience. They are excited to finish up this wonderful project and will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony in the near future.”

Looking Ahead to Reopening

Once painting and paving are completed, the courts will reopen with improved playing surfaces and better access. The planned ribbon cutting will celebrate the upgrades and officially welcome the public back to enjoy the courts.
