College Grove Pickleball Tournament: An exciting advanced pickleball event will take place on May 2 from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM at the College Grove Community Center. The “Friday Night Flights Advanced Intermediate Round Robin” will offer players a competitive experience with the chance to win medals and pickleball prizes.
The event, held at 8607 Horton Hwy, College Grove, is designed for players who have a skill level between 3.4 and 4.0, based on USA Pickleball’s ranking system. This format allows individuals to sign up without needing a partner.
The games will be played in a round robin style, where participants compete against each other to earn points. The top three players with the most points will take home gold, silver, and bronze medals. A random door prize for pickleball items will also be drawn during the event.
No Partner Required
Unlike other mixed doubles formats that require players to find their partners, this event allows participants to sign up individually or bring a partner. The event organizers will split players up into different teams for the round robin play. This creates a dynamic environment where participants can compete with and against various players, gaining a more well-rounded experience.
Affordable Entry Fee
The $15 entry fee is an introductory, reduced price for this event, offering great value compared to other pickleball facilities. The goal is to encourage people to experience the College Grove courts and their excellent amenities.
Outdoor Courts and Weather Considerations
The matches will be held on outdoor courts, so participants are encouraged to bring a lawn chair and water to stay comfortable and hydrated. If weather conditions like rain or extreme heat occur, the event may be moved indoors.
