Inside Herriman’s New Premier Pickleball Hub: Why Locals Can’t Get Enough?

Herriman’s Premier Pickleball Indoor Facility: A new indoor pickleball facility, Premier Pickleball, officially opened this weekend in Herriman, Utah. The center is designed to offer a fun, healthy space for all skill levels to enjoy the fast-growing sport, with modern features that support comfort, safety, and community.

Facility Offers More Than Just Pickleball Courts

Premier Pickleball includes multiple indoor courts with soft flooring to protect players’ knees and ankles. The center also has a video replay system to help players review their moves and improve their game.

To keep players comfortable, the building uses a special ventilation system that brings in fresh air instead of reusing indoor air.

“We wanted to make this whole facility specific to people who are serious about pickleball and make it a healthy, fun environment to play in,” said co-owner Molly Hansen.

A Place for Everyone

The center is open to players of all ages and skill levels. It offers beginner classes, competitive leagues, and social clubs for people who just want to meet others and have fun. Sandy resident Elyse Beckman joined the opening and shared her thoughts.

“It’s easy to move around on the court. Tennis is fun, but this is more fun because you can move faster and get the game going more.” – (Elyse Beckman)

Pickleball fan Rusty Bryant, who lives in Riverton, says he plays to relax and recharge.

“This is what I look forward to. You put in work with the family, work at work, and then this is my off time. I love it.” – (Rusty Bryant)

A Growing Sport with Big Dreams

Pickleball is growing quickly in the U.S., attracting teenagers, adults, and seniors. Some hope it will be added to the 2032 Summer Olympics in Brisbane, Australia.

“I think everybody who starts to play goes through a phase of figuring it out, then becoming addicted,” Molly Hansen said with a laugh. “Then they find the balance they need to maintain it.” Rusty Bryant, now a regular player, enjoys the game for its fun and challenge.

“If I can go and hit a few good shots, win or lose, if I know I played good, that makes me happy. It’s a great sport and this is a great facility.” – (Rusty Bryant)
