Champaign Pickleball Open Returns: Registration Deadline Nears for Fast-Growing Tournament

The Champaign Park District is preparing to host the third annual Champaign Pickleball Open on May 17 and 18 at its outdoor courts located at 2203 West John Street in Champaign, Illinois. Monday, May 5 is the last day for players to register for the two-day event, with the deadline set for 11:55 p.m.

Players are required to show up 30 minutes before their games begin. Each team is guaranteed at least four games. After the opening rounds, the top four teams in each division will move on to bracket play.

Event Details and Rules

The registration fee is $45 per person. The event will be played outdoors and is weather-dependent. If no games are played due to weather, the Champaign Park District will refund all registration fees.

The exact schedule of matches has not yet been released. Organizers said the full list of dates and times will be shared on Friday, May 8.

All games will be held at the Champaign Park District’s outdoor complex.
