Dill Dinkers Doubles Down: Major Pickleball Expansion Set to Transform San Antonio

Dill Dinkers’ San Antonio Pickleball Locations: Dill Dinkers, a fast-growing pickleball company, is bringing two new locations to San Antonio. The first opens on May 13, 2025, at 18450 Blanco Road. Just before opening, the franchise revealed plans for a second, larger site at 5131 Beckwith Boulevard near the University of Texas, San Antonio campus.

Focused on the Game

Dill Dinkers is based in Maryland and is known for putting the sport of pickleball front and center. While some venues are more like social clubs, Dill Dinkers builds its brand around serious play. Courts are fenced off individually, floors are made for joint comfort, and games are tracked with smart court tech and bright LED lights.

The new Beckwith Boulevard location will be even bigger than the Blanco Road site. The Blanco facility features 15,500 square feet and five courts. The Beckwith location will offer 24,000 square feet and 10 courts.

More Courts, More Players

Both San Antonio sites are operated by Karen Birdy and Brian Birdy. The two are Air Force veterans and run PMI Birdy Properties. Their company mostly manages residential and vacation rentals but is now stepping into the sport of pickleball.

While anyone can book a court, Dill Dinkers suggests getting a membership. The annual cost ranges from $400 to $1,150. Members get perks like early court booking and event rental discounts. Because only five courts are available at the first location, the owners expect a high number of reservations.

Plans for More Expansion

Karen Birdy and Brian Birdy aim to open 20 locations in the San Antonio area. Information about the second location’s launch date and how to become a founding member will be shared in the coming months.

News in Brief: Dill Dinkers’ San Antonio Pickleball Locations

Pickleball chain Dill Dinkers is launching two San Antonio locations, starting May 13, 2025. The first is on Blanco Road, and a larger second site is coming to Beckwith Boulevard. Owned by Karen and Brian Birdy, the franchise plans to expand to 20 local sites with court rentals and memberships.
