Organized by the Isermann family and the Capital Area Pickleball Association, the event will take place at Hitters Tennis and Pickleball Club from May 16 to May 18.
Pickleball Event Aims to Help Find a Cure
The fundraiser will begin with a social mixer on May 16. A tournament will follow on May 17 and 18. All money raised will go to Breakthrough T1D, formerly known as JDRF. The organization works to find a cure for Type 1 Diabetes and to improve daily life for people living with it.
Family Inspired to Take Action
Greg Isermann, Molly Isermann, and their son Charlie Isermann are leading the effort. Molly Isermann spoke about how her son’s diagnosis changed their lives.
“It definitely makes life different,” said Molly Isermann as she explained how the disease impacts her son, Charlie Isermann.
