Wisconsin Pickleball Fundraiser Rallies Community to Battle Type 1 Diabetes

Wisconsin Pickleball Fundraiser: A pickleball fundraiser will be held later this month in Wisconsin to support the fight against Type 1 Diabetes. Organized by the Isermann family and the Capital Area Pickleball Association, the event will take place at Hitters Tennis and Pickleball Club from May 16 to May 18.

Pickleball Event Aims to Help Find a Cure

The fundraiser will begin with a social mixer on May 16. A tournament will follow on May 17 and 18. All money raised will go to Breakthrough T1D, formerly known as JDRF. The organization works to find a cure for Type 1 Diabetes and to improve daily life for people living with it.

Family Inspired to Take Action

Greg Isermann, Molly Isermann, and their son Charlie Isermann are leading the effort. Molly Isermann spoke about how her son’s diagnosis changed their lives.

“It definitely makes life different,” said Molly Isermann as she explained how the disease impacts her son, Charlie Isermann.

“When Charlie was first diagnosed it was a big learning experience for us to figure out how to help him every single day.” – (Molly)

Raising Awareness and Support

More than 300,000 children and teens under 20 live with Type 1 Diabetes in the U.S. The Isermann family hopes the pickleball event brings more attention to the disease. By teaming up with the Capital Area Pickleball Association, they want to raise both funds and awareness in their local community.

Helping Families and the Future

The fundraiser is more than just a game. It gives families like the Isermanns hope for better treatments and a future cure. Breakthrough T1D will use the donations to fund research and support programs for people living with the condition. Events like this help more people learn, care, and take action.
