Milwaukee Summerfest Pickleball Events: Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. is offering free open pickleball play at the Aurora Pavilion inside Henry Maier Festival Park in downtown Milwaukee. The courts are open daily from dawn to dusk now through Memorial Day. Players must bring their paddles and balls and enter through the Mid Gate.
The space features three covered outdoor courts and is open to everyone on a first-come, first-served basis. The location is close to Lake Michigan and gives players a fun way to stay active.
Classes and Learning Opportunities
Free classes will also be held at the Pavilion. Pickleball Kingdom, Prolite Sports, and TEAM LAMMI will host sessions on May 17 and May 24. These lessons will run from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and are open to all ages and skill levels.
“The addition of a pickleball pop-up experience reflects Milwaukee World Festival’s ongoing commitment to creating accessible opportunities for the greater Milwaukee community at Henry Maier Festival Park,” said Sarah Pancheri, President and CEO of Milwaukee World Festival, Inc.

The village will be active during the festival on June 19–21, June 26–28, and July 3–5, 2025. It will include two courts and offer:
- Open play daily
- A Celebrity Pickleball Tournament hosted by TEAM LAMMI
- Clinics and demos from pro players
- Vendors like Centerline Athletics, Civile Lifestyle Apparel, Pickleball Kingdom, Prolite Sports, and Triple Crown Sports
- Free tastings from Dean’s Dip
A Growing Part of the Community
This new pickleball effort helps bring more people into Henry Maier Festival Park outside of its usual big events. It also shows how much the sport is growing in Milwaukee.
By offering free play and special events, Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. is giving the community more ways to stay active and have fun together.
