Lewes Pickleball Party Serves Up Fun—and Support for Local Democrats

Lewes Pickleball Party: An indoor pickleball fundraiser will take place from 12 to 4 p.m., Saturday, May 17, at the Dave Marshall Tennis & Fitness Facility, 18464 Plantations Boulevard in Lewes. The event is organized by the Delaware 20th Representative District Democratic Committee to support Democratic candidates in upcoming elections.

Open to All Players

The pickleball party will welcome players of all skill levels. Extra paddles will be available for those who need them. Instructors will also be on-site to help anyone who wants to learn or improve their skills.

Carol Kashow and Hallie Cohen are leading the efforts to plan and organize the event. The goal is to bring people together for a fun afternoon of pickleball while raising money to support local Democratic candidates.

Limited Spots Available

Only 130 players can join the event, and tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Players are encouraged to sign up early to secure a spot.

The Dave Marshall Tennis & Fitness Facility will host the event indoors, making it a comfortable space for players, regardless of weather conditions.

Helping the Local Community

Funds raised during the event will go toward helping elect Democratic candidates in the area. While the event is centered around pickleball, the larger goal is political support and community engagement.

By combining sports and fundraising, the Delaware 20th Representative District Democratic Committee hopes to connect with residents in a positive and active way.
